Thin Lizzy inspiration for Bristol’s newest coffee
You might have already seen Dino’s available as an espresso at Coffee & Beer on Cotham Hill, Bristol Loaf in the Bristol Beacon or Sloth in Swansea.
The newest coffee roaster to open in the city is based in Easton and is a project by Laurence Lawes, previously a barista at Full Court Press in the Old City.
Dino’s coffee will soon be available as the house blend at Interlude, a new cafe that will occupy Psychopomp on St Michael’s Hill in Kingsdown during the day.
is needed now More than ever
Laurence – also a panellist in Bristol24/7’s soon-to-be-published annual food and drink guide, EatDrink24/7 – will be based here from Monday to Friday.
The cafe is called Interlude as he hopes to soon fulfil a dream of opening his own cafe cum restaurant cum wine bar.
The name Dino’s comes from the lyrics of The Boys Are Back in Town by Thin Lizzy: “Friday night, they’ll be dressed to kill / Down at Dino’s Bar ‘n’ Grill / The drink will flow and blood will spill / And if the boys want to fight, you better let ’em / That jukebox in the corner blastin’ out my favourite song / The nights are getting warmer, it won’t be long / Won’t be long ’til the summer comes / Now that the boys are here again.”
