Vegan deli to open soon

By Martin Booth  Monday Sep 5, 2022

A shop that claims they are “possibly the world’s smallest vegan deli” is coming to Bristol soon.

Herbivore is owned by former Cafe Matiriki manager Janice Heskett and her daughter Danielle.

It promises to be sustainable and accessible, offering delicious vegan food sourced from small artisan producers.

Herbivore is set to open in a shipping container at Cargo in Wapping Wharf.

Janice said: “We are so excited to be opening our vegan deli in Wapping Wharf. It’s a very special place.

“We moved to Bristol ten years ago and instantly fell in love with the food scene here. It’s so refreshing for a community to actually embrace and support small, local independents.”

The deli will take the space of what is currently John Kelly 1880+, which will now be focusing on its online business and trade fairs.
