Veggie and vegan burger restaurant opens – as takeaway only for now

By Martin Booth  Monday Dec 7, 2020

Bristol already has a reputation for being one of the best vegan cities in the world.

Now, there is another plant-based option available with the opening of Om Burger from the same team as Burger Theory.

The new restaurant has been delayed by several months due to the pandemic but is now open for delivery and collection.

Om Burger on Stokes Croft promise that their burgers, sides and loaded fries “are packed with fearlessly experimental flavour combos… for an indulgent, nourishing plant-based meal”.

At the weekend they also serve a breakfast menu including muffins, bircher pots and fresh juices.

Om Burger co-founders Nick Makin and Rory Perriment said: “Over the years at Burger Theory we have loved getting creative with vegetarian and vegan cuisine.

“The challenge of creating flavour, taste and texture with only vegetables is lots of fun! In an ever-changing world, it has become more and more important for us to do our bit.

“We wanted to progress the business in a more ethical direction and felt that our vegetarian cuisine deserved its own home!

“We believe that great food is what will change people’s opinions about eating less meat and so our mission is to cook vegetarian food that is so good that people just keep coming back for more!

“Whether you are a veggie, hardcore vegan or just want to have a break from eating meat Om Burger welcomes you!”
