Who makes Bristol’s best custard tart?

Portuguese Tastes in St Nicks Market have been declared the winners of the inaugural Bristol Tart-Off, a competition to find the best custard tarts in the city.

Amid fierce competition, their traditional natas in caramalised puff pastry took home the sparkling silverware.

Second place went to Hart’s Bakery with Source in third.

In the amateur category, the winner was the writer of the Food With Mustard blog.
