Beerd and Jika Jika pop ups in Bristol
A stay of execution for the parade of concrete shops on Clifton Down Road in Clifton Village has led to the arrival of two new pop-ups.
Beerd from Bath Ales is already familiar to Bristol beer drinkers and pizza eaters, with its original home on St Michael’s Hill paving the way for other craft ale bars since it opened in late 2011.
They promise great beer and great pizza in what used to be Havana.
is needed now More than ever
Jika Jika meanwhile is a cafe founded by former England rugby player Matt Stevens when he was banned from the game for two years following a positive drugs test.
It has one site in Bath next to the train station and the business is testing the water in Bristol with hopes of opening a permanent premises if this pop-up proves a success.
Jika Jika Clifton Bristol
Beerd and Jika Jika are both part of That Clifton Pop-Up, which will be playing host to Boneshaker magazine, The Letterpress Collective and Modern Art Buyer throughout August and September.
