Bar of the Week: Small Bar
Thee Oh Sees plays overhead in Small Bar on King Street just before 6pm on a recent Monday evening.
The tables near the entrance are already full but there are several cosy corners to sit in and look out the window as the world goes by on the cobbles outside.

There are a wide range of local beers on tap
Away from the autumn drizzle, the bar is warm and welcoming place to grab an after-work drink.
is needed now More than ever
With beers from local brewers including Left Handed Giant, New Bristol Brewery and Moor Beer on tap, and a rustic and mismatched approach to furnishing, the bar is a popular destination in the centre of the city.
As work colleagues chat and groups of friends order food from Wing’s Diner, which serves fried chicken with an Asian twist, it’s easy to while away the evening.
With darker nights drawing in, the evening quickly turns from a rainy dusk to a stormy night, and it’s time to finish off the drinks and head into the darkness, leaving the warm embrace of Small Bar behind.
