Hare today, gone tomorrow
The Hare on North Street in Bedminster is up for sale, with both the landlord and general manager leaving for pastures new.
The popular pub opened in March 2012, replacing the former Full Moon which at one stage was due to be converted into flats.
Its arrival heralded a renaissance for this stretch of North Street, which later saw the arrival of the likes of The Old Bookshop and North Street Standard.
is needed now More than ever
“Our aim was to create a traditional neighbourhood pub with great service and a modern, interesting drinks range,” said landlord Philip Searle.
“Over the following five years The Hare has become one of the most popular pubs in Bristol and we are proud of what we have achieved.
“It is now time for both Tom Benstead, general manager, and myself to move on, leaving on a high and with lots of good memories.
“We have loved being part of The Hare’s story and would like to thank all of our fantastic staff and lovely customers who have made the pub what it is.”
The Hare is on the market with Maggs & Allen as a “going concern” and will continue trading as normal throughout the sales process.
