Pub of the Week: The White Hart, Bedminster
It’s only 4pm on a Monday, but you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s late in the evening on a Saturday night. The White Hart on Bedminster Parade, which recently reopened under new management, is incredibly busy.
The music is so loud that conversations are shouted across tables, and boxing is screened on the TVs on each wall. This isn’t an intimidating boozer though.
Instead, it’s friendly and welcoming. The barman has a warm smile and friendly banter as he serves drinks to the regulars lining the bar.

Ordering a drink and taking a seat, it’s clearly a community hub. It’s in a prime location opposite the Bedminster Asda, with bus stops just a few a steps in either direction from the front door.
On a cold November afternoon, it’s perfect weather to cosy up one of the booths or play pool, but the pub has a sizeable garden as well.
As music hits 2000s play through the speakers, and more people join the bar following the end of the working day, The White Hart is a great location to while away an evening – just don’t sit too near the speakers.
