You’ll be hard-pressed to find anywhere closer to the hearts (and palates) of local cider connoisseurs. A floating institution, The Apple gently bobs alongside its own cobbled expanse on the Welsh Back, awash with friendly clientele and proudly serving real cider from an astounding assortment of bottles, barrels and boxes. It oozes character (think canvas covering on the top deck and a salubrious sofa retreat down below), and is proud of its product: proper cider, craft-produced and organic.
Here at Wriggle, we are delighted to announce that The Apple will have 2 new deals on the app next week – here is a little bit about them.
The first,
A bountifully rustic sharing platter and 2 pints of proper cider – the very best this side of somerset, at an incomparable waterside location. Its the perfect post-work refreshment for you and a mate: a few generous hunks of cheese / fresh, mixed olives / bunches of green & pink grapes / life-changing chutneys (chilli, spiced beetroot, their signature “perfect ploughmans” pickle) / more than enough crackers to go around. Top it off with 2 choice beverages and get ready for a great evening!
The Apple take as much pride in their cherished Ploughman’s Lunches as they do with their beloved cider. The second offer is brimming with West-Country produce (much of which is sourced from within Bristol) and served on a wooden slab. There’s something on the menu for everyone: meats, pies, cheeses, all manner of pickles & relishes, biscuits, crackers, dressed green salad… It’s very good. In fact, we think you’ll struggle to find a better Ploughman’s. As for the cider, there’s no beating that either.
