Thali will continue offering discounted meals to diners
Following its reopening in mid-August and the launch of its new delivery service, Thali Easton has announced that it will continue a version of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme throughout September.
The Government scheme, which allows customers dining in receive a half price discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks up to the value of £10, has been running throughout August 2020 to help businesses get more people through the door on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thali’s Easton restaurant, located on St Mark’s Road, will continue to offer the same deal to customers throughout September, with the business absorbing the cost.

Owner Pepe Blanco made the decision after finding an increased number of visitors to the restaurant.
Speaking about the continuation of the scheme, Pepe said: “I found it more beneficial for all of us to continue with the flow of costumers, even if this means to reduce in my own economical profit.”

In response to the pandemic, Thali has also launched a new delivery system, using a specially-designed cargo bike to deliver tiffins to Easton, Montpelier, St George, St Paul’s and Eastville.
Thali’s new “bike tiffin revolution” campaign offers a tiffin for two for £13 filled with rice, seasonal subji, dahl and a curry.
Changes have also been made to the restaurant to ensure it is as safe as possible, such as online menus, reduced tables, hand sanitiser and plastic screens.
