Brew opens on St Nicholas Street

By Martin Booth  Monday Dec 8, 2014

Don’t be confused by the sign for a sandwich shop still above the door of 17a St Nicholas Street. The Lunch Box has now moved to Fishponds Road and in its place comes Brew, a shop selling bottled beers and home brewing equipment.

It makes a difference from Brew’s original temporary premises in the first floor function room of the Griffin pub on Colston Street.

For a start, they now have their own front door, a stone’s throw from St Nick’s Market, with a downstairs room set to be used for tastings and functions come the new year.

A peruse of the shelves reveals bottles from Bristol favourites such as Arbor, Bristol Beer Factory and Towles; alongside plenty of beers from further afield.

Home brew equipment includes kits as well as hops, malts and yeast.
