El Colmado celebrates first birthday

Spanish deli El Colmado on the Gloucester Road is celebrating its first birthday today with an afternoon of paella, tastings and live music.

David Pavon set up El Colmado – ‘the grocery store’ – after finding it difficult to buy really good produce from his home country in Bristol.

The shop now sells a wide range of cold meats and cheeses alongside a selection of organic vegetables, Spanish sauces, appetizers, olive oil, paella rice, spices, biscuits and many other products.
