Hundreds queue up to be among first to shop at new M&S

By Bristol24/7  Thursday May 16, 2019

The first person in the queue waited for more than two hours to be first in to the new Marks & Spencer Foodhall on Whiteladies Road.

Sixty-year-old Frances Lyle was presented with a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates for her perseverance, before the doors were officially opened.

Manager Greg O’Connor said: “The team has been working so hard to get ready for the opening and it’s been brilliant to see the community turn out to support us today.”

The first 200 customers through the doors received M&S vouchers, with one lucky shopper getting a voucher for £200 to spend.
