Joe’s Bakery to open second shop on Gloucester Road

Joe’s Bakery will be opening its second shop on Friday morning on Gloucester Road.

The bakery is taking on the site which The Breadstore occupied for 25 years before closing unexpectedly earlier this month.

Jane Hunt, owner of Joe’s Bakery, told Bristol24/7 that she did not want to see another empty shop remain unused. The bread for sale at the new premises will be baked fresh every day at Joe’s original premises further up the road

“This was just the right opportunity for us really,” said Jane.

“Being on Gloucester Road, it is good to see it so vibrant. We don’t want to see any empty shops so it is nice to see so many places open.”

Joe’s Bakery will be open at 45 Gloucester Road from 7am on Friday, June 22.
