Ironworks- Any Regular Coffee

What? Pick up any regular coffee from Ironworks, made from world famous Di Lorenzo roasted beans; a naturally sweet and nutty flavour and is rich and complex in taste. Up there with the best speciality coffee in Bristol. They also do a Nutellino coffee special if you fancy a sweet kick on top for a little extra charge!
Where? This place is a real passion project for husband and wife team, Buster and Jackie. They’ve crossed the world from Australia to bring the Ironworks Supply Co to Bristol. It’s full-to-the-brim with the things they love best: great food, quality drinks and buckets of character. Think Eggs Benedict and a flat white in the morning, Avocado and feta with homemade sourdough or their fish finger sandwich with freshly baked focaccia and all washed down with a cold beer or glass of vino for a chilled brunch.

Small Bar- Philly Beef Rib Roll & Fries & Any Draught Beer

On Wriggle: £9.95
What? 10 hour slow cooked, beer braised, smoked beef rib meat in a toasted assembly baked roll, stuffed with diced jalapenos and melted Philly cheese, alongside some house spiced triple cooked fries. Washed down with your choice of any 2/3 draught beer from the board. Phew.
Where? Small Bar is the Wriggle team’s favourite watering-hole. It has an outstanding selection of craft beers, wickedly good food (just be careful with the chilli sauce) and is beautifully decorated: untreated wood panelling, hanging lamps and large bay windows. On top of all that, it’s right in the heart of the central-Bristol mecca that is King Street.

The White Rabbit – Any 12″ Pizza

What? Just the ticket. Any of the White Rabbit’s pizzas (including their award winning gluten free option), made fresh to order with simple, authentic, Italian toppings. Choose between a whole range of classics; meaty, veggie and vegan options are all available. Be sure to check out their excellent range of beers, too – and find a good spot on the roof terrace.
Where? The White Rabbit is an independent pub in Clifton, run by old friends in their twenties who are passionate about beer, pizza, and music. “Pizza and a Pint” is what they believe in, and they do it very well indeed. The Italian head chef carefully selects the best flavour combinations for his customers’ delectation, and the whole White Rabbit team takes pride in serving fantastic, authentic food made with the best Italian imported ingredients. Even the dough is freshly made in the traditional way – every single day – with only the highest quality Italian Flour. Expect a great atmosphere, tasty food, a gem of a roof terrace and a range of top-drawer local ales too. If you’re after a Wriggle recommendation, indulge in a Lumberjack Truffle Oil pizza and keep an eye out for the Big Bang bottled beer from our friends at Good Chemistry.

Pickle – Any Sarnie & Any Crisps & Any Can

What? A bloomin’ great sandwich Wriggle from the lunchtime maestros at Pickle. Sarnie, crisps and a can for only £3.95! Hot Chick, Pickled Pig, Big Fish, Block Rocking Beet, Rumpy Pumpy, Big Papa, Easy Brie-zee, Smashing Chickpeas, Salmon-ai Warrior…. They all sound awesome and they all taste awesome. Take that, lunch break. There’s a great grassy area nearby to relax on, too; time to get out of the office and get in a bit of a Pickle about your lunch!
Where? Our friends at Pickle are busy serving fresh coffee, great breakfast and tasty lunch daily in the heart of Bristol – both near Temple Meads and now in Underfall Yard. ‘Fresh fast food’ is their motto, and we like it; it’s not always easy to find proper food served quickly in a convenient location; enter Pickle.

Chilli Daddy – Any Hotpot Noodle Main & Fried Wild Garlic Dumplings (BYO)

What? Oh Chilli Daddy, how you spoil us. A bundle of veggie or pork wild garlic dumplings to compliment any Hotpot Noodle Main dish.
Where? With recipes forged from the hunger of the Great Leap Forward (1958-1960) and Socialist China, passed down through generations, Dr Weng and Mrs Li are revolutionising the Szechuan scene of the south-west with fresh, local ingredients and a true passion for feeding people. Their mantra passed down from his grandmother, remains “never forget those still in hunger”; don’t forget to check them out. A Wriggle favourite.

Biblos on the Hill – Jerk Chicken Platter for 2 & Rice & Slaw & Chips

What?An in-house recipe (and Bristol-wide famous) jerk fried chicken sharing platter for 2-4 people depending on your capacity for greed; 18 pieces of tender Jerk chicken rolled in breadcrumbs and deep fried. Served with rice, triple cooked fries, Caribbean coleslaw and homemade sauces. Service between 12:00 – 14:00 & 18:00 – 21:00.
Where? In case you weren’t aware; Biblos have opened a third establishment higher up Gloucester Road, in Bishopston – please don’t mistake this for the Stokes Croft branch! Nonetheless – the same approach to honest and healthy international dishes (inspired by the traditional food cultures of owners Ariel and Will) served in a relaxed environment – this time with more space, some fine booze and a spacious terrace for those sunny ones.
