15 things to do in Bristol this Easter weekend – March 30-April 2 2018

A very happy Easter from all of us at Bristol24/7! There’s plenty going on this long weekend to keep everyone busy, even if the weather isn’t quite what we were hoping for from April.

For those who aren’t completely stuffed full of eggs, there are plenty of delicious food and drink events happening – not least the new chocolate festival rocking up to the former Cadbury’s factory in Keynsham on Easter Sunday. Keep it high-brow with a trip to Bell’s Diner in Montpelier for small tasting dishes accompanied by wine, and then stagger the short distance to the Prince of Wales near the Arches to help them drink the bar dry. This will be the last party in the pub under current ownership, as landlady Anna recently lost her high court battle against a huge conglomerate who will be taking over the community boozer. Raise a glass to the team’s bravery.

It’s also a good weekend for music lovers, with Soultrain chugging in on Good Friday to get us into the party spirit, the DIY punk noisiness of Fishstock 2018 at Exchange all day on Saturday, and from the sublime to the ridiculous: The Wurzels will play us out on Easter Sunday with their unique blend of West Country tuneage.
