15 things to do in Bristol this weekend – Feb 2-4 2018

Jog your way into February with the Rocky-esque story of The Mayor’s Race, AKA Marv the Movie. Our illustrious mayor gets the big screen treatment with a panel discussion and Q&A with the man himself at Watershed on Saturday.

If that sounds too much like hard work, indulge in something more gentle with a weekend-long food trail around Bedminster, organised by our friends at Wriggle. Break up the gentle exercise of wandering along North Street by scoffing donuts at Tin Can Coffee, eating tapas at the Old Butchers and tasting beer at Bristol Beer Factory, amongst many others.

Finally, it’s another good weekend for film lovers as the Japan Foundation Touring Film Festival lands in the city on Saturday. The programme kicks off with bittersweet comedy Oh Lucy! at Watershed and comprises five other titles. See the full list in our comprehensive film roundup.
