14 things to do in Bristol this weekend, June 15-17 2018

This weekend marks the end of Bristol Food Connections for 2018, but you can go out with a bang with our Summer Feast on Friday night, eating delicious dishes cooked by award-winning chef Barny Haughton and street food from a group of young chefs that he has been training at the Knowle West-based Square Food Foundation, in partnership with Bristol24/7.

It’s also going to be a big weekend for poetry and literation, with Salena Godden and John Berkavitch appearing on Sunday for their part in Blah’s Big Weekend at the Wardrobe Theatre, the launch of the National Flash Fiction Day Anthology, and the next installation of the regular Story Slam.

And, from the sublime to the ridiculous: site-specific theatre specialists Insane Root’s reworking of Romeo and Juliet opens on Friday night in Eastville Park’s abandoned lido, while on Sunday there will be more flesh galore on the streets of the city centre as the Naked Bike Ride passes through.
