21 things to do in Bristol this week, January 7-13 2019

Following last week’s Saturday timetable debacle which they forgot to tell any passengers about, it’s business as usual from Monday for First Bus which means that this is officially the first proper week of the year.

Talking of buses, this is also the first full week of operation for the new m1 metrobus (that must always be written in lower case on pain of being left behind at the bus stop) which goes from Hengrove to Cribbs Causeway and is operated by Bristol Community Transport.

Cultural highlights this week include the experimental music of Grumpysnorlax at Glitch; the city’s first ever women, non-binary and trans comedy night, Quipped, at Prince Street Social; Motown the Musical at the Hippodrome; and the opportunity for Bristol-spotting on the big screen in Stan & Ollie.
