21 things to do in Bristol this week, October 15-21 2018

This week sees the arrival of the two-day Wild & Well festival across multiple venues. Described as “a new style of wellbeing festival for anyone who wants to live in a healthier, happier, more connected way,” its four cornerstones are move, eat, connect and explore.

This week is also the return of the annual Simple Things festival, which for the first time will be splitting its programme in two with day and night lineups ticketed separately, with shows taking place at venues across the city.

Elsewhere, Idles will no doubt be playing a storming hometown show at SWX, award-winning spoken word night That’s What She Said comes to Bristol for the first time, Man Booker-shortlisted writer Esi Edugyan talks at St George’s and there is the chance to watch some of the world’s best wildlife films as part of the the Wildscreen Festival and In Colour at Circomedia mixes swing dance with circus.
