21 things to do in Bristol this week, September 24-30 2018

The new front doors of the Bristol Old Vic are being opened to the public for the first time at 8am on Monday. Inside the breathtaking new space is 1766 Bar & Kitchen, serving up everything from morning coffee right through to evening pre-show dining.

More highlights this week include six days of the Encounters short film and animation festival, the opening weekend of this year’s In:Motion, beer from Good Chemistry, whisky from Speyside, and comedy from Russell Howard and friends.
