Almodovar's Oscar-nominated 1988 classic launches Comedy Genius season
It’s December 1 on Saturday so that’s officially the start of Christmas, which in Bristol always means a choice of wonderful Christmas shows across the city’s theatres. From 5pm on Saturday on Millennium Promenade in the Harbourside it also means using environmentally-friendly film effects to transform the area into a snowy winter wonderland thanks to the Bristol City Centre Business Improvement District.
Also on Saturday, The Letterpress Collective on Leonard Lane is hosting a wayzgoose, a gathering of fellow leterpress printers from across the UK who will be selling some beautiful printed items. Other highlights this weekend include the first ever beer festival at the Wooden Walls micropub in Staple Hill, Friendly Fires at Motion and a screening of the Pedro Almodovar classic Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown at the Watershed.
