An all-new dose of video weirdness hot from the Edinburgh Festival
It’s another busy month in Bristol. The final bloom of festivals brings the region to life, with Bristol International Balloon Fiesta the jewel in the crown. Make your way to Ashton Court Estate for nightglows, early morning mass-ascents and to do some balloon spotting: there are 40 weird and wonderful special shapes taking to the skies to celebrate 40 years of the Fiesta.
There’s also plenty to do as a family this month, from children’s theatre like The Pixie’s Scarf to outdoor film screenings of classics like Spirited Away.
Finally, it’s a great month for a knees up with several piss-ups in some of Bristol’s best breweries. Celebrate Good Chemistry’s third birthday, visit the final Lost & Grounded Summer Brewhouse session, and keep with the outdoor theme, no matter what the weather throws at us, with the reopening of Motion’s Yard.
Find even more things to do this month in our What’s On section.
