20 things to do in Bristol this weekend, July 20-22 2018

This weekend Bristol Harbour Festival fills the area around the floating harbour with music, performances, boats, family activities, dance, food and more. It’s Bristol’s biggest free festival and is well worth a visit – whether for Friday night’s massive gig featuring legends Jimmy Cliff, Grandmaster Flash and Trojan Soundsystem, or the breathtaking circus performances going on in College Green.

The team behind Dimensions Festival warm up at Lakota before the main event in Croatia, while Motion hosts a mammoth bill for Sequences Festival and the city is visited by musicians galore including Future Islands at the O2 Academy on Friday night.

It’s also a great weekend for foodies, as Square Food host their summer pop-up and Hart’s Bakery puts on Hartburn – the first in a series of summer barbecues and one that surely takes the proverbial punny biscuit.
