Annette Curtain (Tom Marshman) and friends to host a festive knees up at Ashton Court

By Sarski Anderson  Monday Nov 21, 2022

Kicking off the festive season in inimitable fashion, “your favourite nosy neighbour” Annette Curtain (aka Tom Marshman) is having a party, and everyone’s invited.

She will be swapping Old Market for Ashton Court’s Arts Mansion on December 1, having – she assures us – merely ‘borrowed’ the keys.

Annette Curtain’s Big Blow Out is billed as a Christmas Cabaret Extravaganza, with gossip and a sing-a-long or two provided by the venerable MC, and a host of performances from some of her friends.

Highlights include drag king Dwayne the Pipe, songs from RED (the artist formerly known as Carmen Monoxide), dances from Josh and Roseanna of Impermanence, and even speeches from ‘the ghost of Liz Truss’.

A buffet and pudding tombola will be provided by Sh*t Quiz, with dietary requirements accommodated, though the organisers do recommend eating a light meal before arriving.
