In photos: Better Bristol silversmithing workshop

Bristol24/7 teamed up with local silversmith specialist Kim Thomson to host a workshop at The Bristol Folk House on Monday, December 16.

The workshop is the latest in our Better Bristol workshop series which began with a partnership with photographer Colin Moody hosting street photography workshops.

Kim Thomson is making silversmithing more accessible one workshop at a time as it’s a craft that can be seen as very expensive and exclusive. Kim Thomson wants to show that it doesn’t have to be, and taught the students attending on December 16 how to make three stacking rings.

All profits made are used to fund more workshops and provide free of charge tickets for those who are unable to access the jewellery workshops due to economic reasons.
