New homes for bees, bugs and butterflies

By Martin Booth  Monday Sep 10, 2018

Millennium Square has become a new haven for minibeasts, with the addition of wooden pollinator homes.

The new homes have been created as areas in which solitary insects can nest in the city centre in order to spread pollen in the area.

Each home has a name: Bug-ingham Palace, Butterfly Bungalow, Moth Manor, Bee ‘n’ Beetle and Hoverfly Hotel.

Butterfly Bungalow is one of sive pollinator homes on Millennium Square

The pollinator homes were created in partnership with Pukka Herbs and created in beds owned by We The Curious that are now cared for by Incredible Edible.

Each pollinator home is subtly different
