Joust! a rip-roaring medieval adventure!
Sponsored feature
Joust! offers a weekend filled with the kind of pomp, pageantry and thrills and spills that you would enjoy in the turbulent Middle Ages, when jousting knights were the celebrities of the day. At this spectacular family show ‘The Knights of Royal England’ will return for their 10th year at Cardiff Castle with a dazzling show and epic display of jousting and horsemanship.
Fanfares announce the knights’ arrival, as they gallop into the jousting arena, lances at the ready. Expect a spectacular contest with horseback stunts, falls, fights, and breath-taking action. Reckless and brave, skilful and fiercely competitive, the knights stop at nothing as they charge full tilt at breakneck speed on their trusty steeds.
is needed now More than ever
Lances splinter as the knights take to battle from the saddle in some spectacular horseback stunts. Authentic and thrilling, the competition intensifies in this medieval adventure as the crowds cheer for their favourite knight. Bags of banter will keep the crowds jeering or cheering for their favourite knight.
A bustling hive of activity surrounds the Joust arena, with a medieval village to explore all the sights and sounds of daily life in these times. Close-up displays of knights in full combat and magical tales of myths, legends and dragons create thrilling entertainment.
Children love joining in the spectacle by dressing up as knights and princesses. They will leave as fully fledged knights after enjoying sessions on junior jousting skills, juggling and have-a-go jousting. They can then join in the Children’s Parade around the Joust arena and the Dragon Procession through the grounds.
