New family play cafe opening soon

By Imogen Howse  Monday Mar 9, 2020

“A completely fresh approach to family time” is being promised by the owners of a new space opening on the ground floor of a multi-storey car park in Clifton.

Rhubarb aims to be “the go-to destination for Bristol families to dine and play together”.

The new business, due to open in mid-May, will offer both somewhere to eat for families as well as a fun play space for children.

Rhubarb is from a team of educators and designers who are also the owners Tigerplay, a company that offers bespoke commercial play spaces.

Its main multi-level play area in a former car hire business at the top of Jacob’s Wells Road will have slides, bridges and more, with a role-play area with a Bristol theme, a snug area with projector screen and a party room for hire.

As well as locally sourced food, there will be events including business networking, midwifery Q&As, sleep coaching and baby yoga.
