The fashion of Love Saves The Day 2019
With sequins, rainbows and sparkles being last years big festival trends, what can be expected from Bristol’s festival fashionistas in 2019?
Through the sea of generic crop tops, Hawaiian shirts and shorts, it was all about neon green at this year’s Love Saves the Day . For as far as the eye could see, there were little flashes of it everywhere – from hoop earrings to body-wear and face paint.

Glitter is usually the one thing everyone smothers themselves in at festivals but, compared to previous years, not quite every festival-goer had covered themselves in the shiny stuff.
is needed now More than ever
With eco-glitter rising in popularity, perhaps the festival masses have become a little more aware and environmentally conscious, toning down on the amount of cheap, non-biodegradable glitters they were using.

For those seeking eco-glitter makeovers, Love Saves The Day regulars The Fashpack were the first stop for festival essentials, with independent designers including Pluma Feathers, Butchi and Gosmos, Zedhead Headwear, That Thing and Balulu. Bringing awesome headdresses, bumbags, jewellery and fantastical garms, they were on hand to help create that perfect festival look.

This year’s festival fashion trends saw lots of big, bold and bright prints, from playful graphics to animal prints. The late 80s sportswear trend is popular again, with cycle shorts and shell-suit jackets being popular. Sheer layering and metallics trends are here to stay this summer too, with a spot of leopard print still featuring too.

The twinning fashion trend is still prominent, whether it was matching neon outfits, clashing prints or glimmering metallics.
With a few micro-trends showing through that included the arrival of soft, dusty pinks and lilac co-ords, contrasting with the more-is-more trend (think lots of layering and wearing every accessory at once) to the welcome return of the late 90s with the baggy trousers trend.

More is more with this accessory heavy, micro trend
The glorious weather meant that no one had to cover up their fabulous outfits with fun ruining raincoats either. As always, Team Love saved the day again.
From the outrageous to street-style cool to the damn right trashy, fabulous festival fashion is here to stay – as long as it’s smothered in eco-glitter!
