Meet 8 acts on The Hobbs Show bill
With less than a month to go until The Passenger Shed is transformed into a world of glamour and glitz for what may well be the last ever Hobbs Show, we round up some of the exciting acts that are all set to take to the stage on February 6 for a night of fashion, performance and of course, spectacular hair:
1. Exception-Elle
This unique breakdancing duo have a background in gymnastics and contemporary dance, giving their act a particularly impressive physical edge. Lauren and Olivia have both been dancing their entire lives, and their flawless technical ability and strength make for a show that definitely has the wow-factor.

2. Ollie Gardner
A Junior Associate at the Royal Ballet School at the age of nine and a starring role in Billy Elliott The Musical by the age of twelve, it’s fair to say the young Ollie Gardner is something special when it comes to performing. For one night only Ollie will take to the stage at The Hobbs Show to entertain the crowds with a special routine all his own – and a bit of singing too if you’re lucky.
3. Kizzy Morrell
Respected in Bristol and beyond for her powerful tone and soulful jazz vocals, Kizzy Morrell has over 30 years experience and a band of loyal fans to match. Also a DJ, songwriter and presenter, Morrell is one multi-talented woman to be reckoned with.
4. Flowerpot
Four women content on setting the alt rock music scene alight, Flowerpot‘s sound is strong, fearless and unbelievably catchy – no doubt they’ll inject a large dose of girl power into proceedings on February 6.
5. Nachda Sansaar
Nachda Sansaar are a group of Punjabi folk dancers who travel across the world spearheading a campaign to keep the art of traditional Bhangra dancing alive. With contagious smiles and infectious music, it’ll be a hard job to stay in your seat when these guys are on stage.
6. Claire Delaney
Classical crossover soprano Claire Delaney has worked with the likes of Disney and ABC, and her prolific career has resulted in the set up of her very own vocal academy. With a voice that has been described as “haunting” and “bewitching”, the singer has performed several sell-out shows across the country to rapturous praise.
7. Riff Raff
A Bristol choir that are known for their complex arrangements and beautiful renditions of well-known pop songs, Riff Raff are guaranteed to raise the roof of the Passenger Shed and get everything singing along to all the old favourites.
8. Poppy Lees and Alice Allan
These two aerial artists both train with Circomedia’s youth circus and are masters of aerial hoops and trapeze performances. Performing a double trapeze piece together at The Hobbs Show next month – no doubt with the greatest of ease – Poppy and Alice will also be sporting some fabulous catsuits made by Bristol label TAPT.
