The return of the Bristol Fashion Show

By Emma Gorton-Ellicott  Monday Apr 29, 2019

The Bristol Fashion Show is back with an all-day family event at the Filwood Community Centre on Saturday, June 29.

With an aim to illuminate and celebrate creativity in Bristol, founder Butzi-Shlaadt-Goode is bringing the show to the people by making it more accessible to local communities from the Withywood, Hartcliffe and Filwood areas.

As always, the Bristol Fashion Show encourages more local creatives and independents to get involved with their events, from performers, hair and make-up artists to fashion designers, following the success of their last show at the Ashton Court Mansions back in November 2018.

The Filwood community fashion show will feature local designers including Carny Valley and their amazing raincapes, anti-bullying brand I.Should.b, vintage and retro fashion from Frankie Loves Ava, students from the CYN fashion course and customised jackets by Highjackets.

With other UK based independents joining the show,  from streetwear and bodywear to curvaceous fashion creations, it looks to be an exciting, eclectic mix featuring a rapidly growing list of independent designers and fashion brands.

Local raincape brand Carny Valley will be showing at the next Bristol Fashion show event in June

As one of the only local fashion show events to support Bristol’s talented independent designers, The Bristol Fashion Show is a non-profit organisation that showcases local and UK based independent designers, with all money raised going towards the next fashion show, which will be back at Ashton Court Mansions this November.

The Bristol Fashion Show event takes place on Saturday, June 29, Doors 2pm with the fashion show from 6.30pm at Filwood Community Centre. Tickets £5. Find out how you can get involved via www.facebook.com/BristolFashionshow/
