Bristol charity opens new supported living service

By Jack Wilkinson  Monday Jun 19, 2017

Cintre, a Bristol-based charity specialising in autism, poor mental health and learning disabilities, has finished developing ‘IN-VIA’ – a new supported living service on the site of a former family home.

The fully refurbished accommodation is the charity’s latest investment in providing support across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. It will be a space for adults to live independently, comfortably and safely with others.

The charity was formed in 1980, and since then has expanded from solely offering residential care to now also providing outreach support. By now offering this third service in between the two, Cintre will be able to reach out to those looking to live a more independent life.

Neil Baker, Cintre’s partnership and development manager, said: “I am privileged to have been involved with this project from the start and am thrilled to see the doors of this new service now open to people who face various issues in their lives.”
