Free tennis lessons in the city for families

By Helen Martin  Thursday Apr 16, 2015

Ahead of June’s Wimbledon tennis extravaganza, families are being encouraged to play tennis with free parent and child coaching lessons.

This month, Highland Spring Mini Tennis takes place in schools, parks and tennis venues across the UK. Aimed at children aged three to 10-years-old with a programme developed by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), players are able to develop skills and techniques at an early age.

‘It is an opportunity to inspire and motivate more children to take up the sport and get active,’ states the website. ‘With smaller courts, nets and rackets and lower bouncing balls, Highland Spring Mini Tennis offers the perfect introduction to the sport, with all the fun and energy tennis offers.’
