Jodie Morgan, 35, moved into an Abode 126 property with her partner and his daughter five weeks ago, and it has exceeded all her expectations.“I never imagined I would live in a new build property, but when we were looking for houses Abode kept coming up in our searches so we thought we would have a look. We looked round the show homes and were so impressed by the buildings and the customer service that within five hours we had reserved a 126 property. The price was incredibly reasonable compared to other properties in the area. The student nurse, who previously worked in digital marketing and lived just outside Bristol in Yatton commuting into the city centre each morning, wanted a home that would allow her to get into the centre on foot. “I lived in this area before and knew it was a really good place to get into town, to the hospitals and all the other amenities. Everything is walkable for me now which is amazing, I have already saved a fortune in bus tickets and loads of travel time.

Having been ambivalent about new builds, she is now full of praise. “I had previously thought a new build property might be a bit small and lacking in character but that couldn’t be further from the truth. This house is beautiful, I walk in every day and think, ‘I am so lucky to live here!’.

“We have three bedrooms and have turned the fourth into a study. It is all so well designed, right down to details such as the layout of the kitchen, so the dishwasher is placed within easy reach of the drawers with all the plates and utensils in it. Small things like that have been thought about.
I don’t have a lot of time at the moment and my life has been absolutely simplified by living in a new build. It has saved me time and energy as I don’t need to worry about anything in the house and Redrow’s team are on hand to help if we do need anything.”
