Bristol shed shortlisted in national prize
Bristol could have one of the best sheds in the country, as 21 of the country’s sheds are shortlisted for a national award.
Artist Mary Price’s shed has been shortlisted for the coveted title of Shed of the Year 2019.
The judges have whittled down the entries from hundreds to just three finalists per group, with Mary competing in the Workshop category.

Mary Price at work in her studio/shed
Going by ‘artistintheshed‘ on her website, Mary says the shed has become “an extension of my own art work and has actually become a painting in it’s own right”.
The inside of the shed is painted white to make the most of reflected light coming in from five large windows.
Head judge and founder of the competition Andrew Wilcox, reflected on this years entrants saying “We’ve been absolutely blown away by the incredible, imaginative and innovative sheds entered into this year’s competition.”

Mary’s shed is a piece of art in its own right
A winner from each category will be decided by a public vote, then an overall winner will be crowned by a panel of shed experts.
