Learn how to grow vegetables without a garden

By Safiya Bashir  Monday Jun 14, 2021

Many of us in Bristol might not be lucky enough to have access to our own outdoor space and growing your own food may feel like a pipe dream.

Recognising the issues that many people in a city face, Edible Bristol is offering several six-week courses to 18- to 28-year-olds who feel they would like to learn more about growing in rented or impermanent spaces and how to go about it.

The course will offer education on soils, composting, growing plants from seeds and propagation, and give those involved the basis of designing small spaces and how to ensure they have all the knowledge needed to take their experience back into their communities and homes.

It promises to be a great opportunity to learn the building blocks of good gardening and growing, using ecological principles – even in the tiniest spaces.

If you’re interested in the course, you can email Sara Venn for more information at sara@ediblebristol.org.uk.
