Where to source your Christmas tree
Bringing in the Christmas tree really does signify the start of the Christmas festivities. Whether you go for a real pine beauty or an artificial kitsch number, nothing spells festive magic like the tree
Each year, as a family, we love to cut down our own tree, it’s part of our family Christmas tradition. In past years we’ve visited a small farm just outside Bristol, but sadly they have closed. So this year we are looking at alternatives. We still want to keep the magic and charm, but where do we get one?

Cut your own
There is something quite magical about setting forth across a pine field with an axe in hand. Unleashing that inner lumber jack and harvesting your own tree. Local places you can do this are:

Buy
Forgo the larger chain stores when buying your tree. Instead, why not support local schools, independent businesses and charities this year. Most of which tend to have their trees delivered by local suppliers within in days of cutting. Fresh local trees, which should last the season with minimal needle drop.

Rent
Fed up with having to recycle your tree each year, and annoyed at the waste? Why not rent a tree? Hire a tree for the season, give it back on the 5th January for it to be returned to the field to carry on growing for next year. Happy trees, happy environment too.
