Sofia on Felix

Have you ever been on a blind date before?

“Once when I was in college. We watched a film. Then when I said I had to go home, he cried waiting for my bus. Bit weird – never saw him again. Maybe it was young nerves!”

What made you want to go on a blind date?

“I was really interested to meet the type of person who would sign up for something like this. I thought they must be pretty cool and laid back!”

What were you hoping for?

“A fun night out with good company.”

What was your first thought when you saw your date?

“Oh he’s cute, thank god!”

What did you talk about?

“We both have busy lives with lots of interests and are also both from other countries so lots to talk about.”

Any awkward moments?

“Maybe when I nearly choked on a cracker, but he offered to help so it was okay and not too awkward!”

What was the atmosphere at Cave like?

“The hosts of the wine event were very nice and had a laugh with me before my date arrived. They helped me decide which table was best. I picked the one next to other people and it was a great experience chatting with others on the table about the wine as well.”

How was the wine?

“Most of it was tasty! I’m a wine amateur so it was brilliant to learn more.”

What would you say is the best characteristic of your date?

“Felix is really intelligent and a gentleman, and he is apparently a great cook.”

Any moments when you wished you were somewhere else?

“We talked about wanting some dancing music!”

Best thing about your date?

“He likes an African fish and beef dish for dessert, I think that’s fascinating. I need to try them.”

What do you think your date made of you?

“Hopefully, he thought good things. Although maybe a bit scared about my pet jumping spiders.”

Is there anything you would change about the evening?

“Nope!”

Were there any sparks of potential?

“Maybe.”
