Blind Date: Stacey and Jordan
With many thanks to this month’s hosts Flour & Ash, 203b Cheltenham Road, BS6 5QX
We sent Stacey and Jordan on a blind date to Flour & Ash this month, but did they think the company was as good as the pizza?
Name and occupation?
“Jordan, I own a mobile bar business.”
“Stacey, I produce the programmes you watch on your telly.”
is needed now More than ever
Have you ever been on a blind date before?
Jordan: “No, I’ve never been on one.”
Stacey: “Does getting so drunk you lack facial recognition count? I do have pretty bad eyesight too.”
What made you want to go on this blind date?
Jordan: “Well as I’ve never been on one before I thought it would be good to experience something new.”
Stacey: “Prospect of free food, and meeting a dreamer.”
What were your first thoughts when you saw your date?
Jordan: “That she had a very nice smile.”
Stacey: “Great – he’s turned up and doesn’t look totally mental.”
What did you talk about?
Jordan: “We talked about everything – jobs, where we lived etc. Stacey lives with a girl that I know from back home so that was funny.”
Stacey: “Everything and anything. We figured out he’s good friends with one of my Bristol besties so I knew he must be one of the good ones.”
What was the atmosphere like?
Jordan: “It was very laid back.”
Stacey: “Great! Really nice little restaurant with delicious pizza and thirst-quenching cider. The company was pretty good too.”
Any moments when you wished you were somewhere else?
Jordan: “No, there weren’t any moments like that.”
Stacey: “A tropical paradise. Always a tropical paradise.”
What would you say is the best characteristic of your date?
Jordan: “Stacey has a good sense of humour and very pretty eyes.”
Stacey: “He’s a very chilled out human and so easy to chat with. He likes animals so he must be kind, and also has pretty eyes.”
What do you think your date made of you?
Jordan: “I think she liked me as she was the one who asked for my number.”
Stacey: “Not sure, I’m not good at that part.”
Is there anything you would change about the evening?
Jordan: “No, the whole date was very nice.”
Stacey: “Should have drank and eaten more as it was free.”
Did you go somewhere else after your meal?
Jordan: “Yes, after the meal we went to Picton Street Market and then for a coffee in Stokes Croft.”
Stacey: “We strolled along to Picton Street then went for another drink, adventures all over.”
Were there any sparks of potential?
Jordan: “There were definitely sparks!”
Stacey: “Maybe.”
Will you meet again?
Jordan: “Yes we’re going meet again.”
Stacey: “I’d imagine so.”
