2. What made you want to go on this blind date?
I guess try something new, something that pushed me out of my comfort bubble a bit

3. What were your first thoughts when you saw your date?
Attractive

4. What did you talk about?
Travel, living abroad (Bethan could anyway), talked a bit about work, Christmas, family, visiting River Cottage and of course the food, which was amazing!

5. What was the atmosphere like?
Felt comfortable, the venue was quiet when we arrived but more dinner guests arrived soon after we had sat down and ordered

6. Any moments when you wished you were somewhere else?
No, to be honest

7. What would you say is the best characteristic of your date?
Bethan is really interesting and can talk to her for hours, really enjoyable company

8. What do you think your date made of you?
Hopefully not that I was a few hours of her life she will never get back 🙂

9. Is there anything you would change about the evening?
Could have made it a few degrees warmer outside, but the cold did amplify the wintery feel to the surrounding area.

10. Did you go somewhere else after your meal?
We couldn’t have done due to work commitments the next day

11. Were there any sparks of potential…?
I think so.  I hope so for both of us

12. Will you meet again?
Hoping to, will just have to wait and see

Of sorts, but never with so little information about the other person before. This really was blind

2. What made you want to go on this blind date?
A friend of mine dared me, knowing I rarely say no to a challenge. And everyone loves a free dinner, right?

That he had excellent manners

4. What did you talk about?
Life in Bristol, food, travelling, food, pop psychology, food, scallops gonads. All the biggies

5.What was the atmosphere like?
The restaurant was really relaxed and cosy, the perfect place for a first date

6. Any moments when you wished you were somewhere else?
With food like that, I could have been at dinner with Hannibal Lector and stuck it out til late

He was very honest and upfront, no pretensions at all, which was nice

8. What do you think your date made of you?
Youll have to ask him!

Perhaps the fact that it was a Monday night, which I normally reserve for post-weekend recovery

10. Did you go somewhere else after your meal?
No, it was a little early in the week to be kicking on

11. Were there any sparks of potential?
He was certainly great company, but perhaps wed be better suited as friends

12. Will you meet again?
Well, he lives a few doors down from my office so theres a strong chance well bump into each other in the pub!
