Blues Store reopens in new location
Blues Store has reopened its doors onto a slightly steeper pavement.
The clothing, lifestyle products and footwear store has moved into 84 Park Street, previously the home of clothing chain Reiss, before it became a vacant venue.
Blues previously spent five years operating from Broad Street, bringing unique global brands like Brain Dead, Cav Empt and SUICOKE to their little shop.
is needed now More than ever

The store has also procured a dedicated online following, with a thoughtfully curated digital presence, sharing new arrivals worn by the Blues team.
Director, Daisy, says the new location offers more footfall and a bigger creative space to showcase projects and pieces. She hopes the new space will act as a venue for product launches, exhibitions and collaborations, as well as giving the team more freedom to introduce new brands and ideas.
Park Street has attracted a broad mix of high end streetwear, vintage shops, and creative venues over the years, making it a perfect fit for Blues.
The new store is filled with little touches. The changing room curtains are designed by illustrator, Leomi Sadler (@leomi_sadler), while their print collection celebrates creative local publications and those from far afield.

In addition to the airy upstairs space, the Blues team hope to transform the basement into a gallery space to host free community-based events and exhibitions.
Philadelphia-born artist, Anthony Coleman, will bring his 70s and 80s cartoon expressionist-inspired paintings to the gallery for the store’s inaugural show.
The new space has been in the pipeline for some time. The Blues team applied for the vacant plot through Bristol City Council’s Vacant Property Grant – a scheme which aims to bring people to the high street again through offering grants to businesses.

So far, the move has been a resounding success, with footfall massively expanded in their first weekend of opening.
