Bristol’s largest zero-waste shop opens
Bristol’s largest zero-waste shop has opened in Clifton. There are already six Scoop Wholefoods stores in Australia, with the independently-owned shop on Whiteladies Road the first Scoop Wholefoods in the UK.
The business has the mission of improving people’s health and wellbeing, and safeguarding our planet for future generations.
The Whiteladies Road shop is run by Rich Green and Stephie Mizzi who previously ran health and fitness retreats where they realised the need to cut down the mountains of plastic they went through.
is needed now More than ever

Scoop Wholefoods has six shops in Australia, with the Bristol shop becoming the first in the UK
The shop is split into three sections: household items, dry foods and a separate room called The Washroom for refillable toiletries so that the fragrances do not affect the dry food.
Among more than one thousand products is bee pollen, which is supposed to do wonders for hay-fever, asthma and eczema; kombucha on tap; and a fermented tea that store assistant Cypress promises as being good for the gut.
In the future, Rich and Stephie hope to work with charities like Surfers against Sewage as they look for even more less wasteful way of shopping that is more convenient and budget friendly for everyone.
