Christmas wish list no.3
Grandparents are hard to buy for, they have everything they need and often don’t really want anything
My answer to this is little those luxuries they can enjoy and probably wouldn’t buy for themselves. For your Granny who feels the cold get some cosy cashmere to keep her warm through January; she’ll think of you every time she wraps up. For your favourite Grandpa tickets to go to something together will make their year!
Clockwise from left to right
1. A brooch – something sparkly and delicate or bright and bold. Whats your Grandma’s style?
is needed now More than ever
2. Bubble bath or shower gel, sounds boring but it’s a can’t miss gift. We like Molton Brown and White Company especially as they gift wrap!
3 Monthly flower subscription, this is a gift I gave last year. This year I approached a local florist to see if they would do the same thing – the gift that keeps giving.
4. A cosy blanket or shawl, my Granny is always cold and loves a nice shawl to wrap around her in the evenings
6. Their favourite magazine subscription, something they can appreciate all year
7. Cashmere socks or gloves. I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t appreciate cashmere toes!
8. The classic box of luxury chocolates – we love Gilberts of Bristol
1. Cufflinks – Grandads like to stay sharp
2. A gardening gift – a really smart new tool or a tree to plant is a really special gift
3. Their favourite book – Track down a 1st edition or a limited edition run
4. Posh socks – My Grandad never buys socks and awaits the Christmas selection, he likes Paul Smith
5. A biography – who are they interested in? I will be giving one about Bob Dylan this year
6. Whisky – apparently the Japanese are very good at whisky.
7. Tickets to see something together – Theatre, Rugby, Football. Time together – win!
