New vintage store and creative space opens
Two friends have opened a vintage store and creative space in south Bristol.
Co-founders Josh Buckley and Joe Hearn worked on their new business, Zings, while living above the shop and working 9-5 jobs.
Their aim is to “blend pre-loved, sustainable fashion with community-focused creative spaces and opportunities”.

The store next to Greggs opened on Saturday with an exhibition of local DJs, variety of sustainable, pre-loved clothing, reworked fashion items and independent brands.

Hearn said: “We are so excited to get this project off the ground and running and want to try and give back as much as possible to the community, as they are the sole reason this came to fruition.
“As a former student and young person I know all too well the financial struggle people are going through so if we can provide a quality product for a good price then we will”
He added: “We had an incredible opportunity to open a shop and thought what better thing to do than share it. None of this would have happened without many friends and Bristol so if we can give back in any way we will.”

The retail space is collaborating with vintage brand Blessed Baby Vintage, co-founded by Merlin Mehers and Jack Ireland, whose products are now exclusively stocked at Zings.
Mehers said: “We are all so happy to be able to go on this journey together and excited to be a new addition to East Street.
“Our partnerships with Bristolian communities (being a part of it ourselves) has really inspired us all to keep finding new ways we can plant seeds of collaboration.”
