Prominent Park Street shop to close
A closing down sale is currently taking place at a shop that has occupied a prominent position at the top of Park Street for more than a decade.
Tuesday is the last day of trading for L’Occitane en Provence, with Bristol24/7 understanding that the decision to close was due to its rent being increased as much as fourfold.
Most of the cosmetic shop’s staff have been made redundant with one given a new position at the L’Occitane store in Cribbs Causeway.

L’Occitane’s imminent closure comes as Nata & Co, a Portuguese cafe just a few hundred yards away on the Clifton Triangle has also shut after just ten months of trading, blaming high costs.
Bristol24/7 has asked L’Occitane en Provence for comment.
