Wapping Wharf indies join forces to open new shop in Quakers Friars

By Martin Booth  Wednesday Dec 9, 2020

Wapping Wharf neighbours Fig1 and Found Hea have joined forces to open a new shop at Quakers Friars within Cabot Circus.

The two independent shops are now combined into one, Found Hea x Fig1, on Philadelphia Street close to the Apple store.

Fig1’s contemporary European designs are on sale alongside Found Hea’s sustainable clothing; a beacon of independence in this corner of Bristol.

“We’re so proud to have managed to do this at this time,” said Fig1’s Luke Macfadyen.

“We’ve got such a good team of people who work for us now who really helped make this happen. As well as being excited about the new space I’m really glad that we’ve bought together a team of people to work on both our shops – staff who care about what they do and work tirelessly for us with such commitment, professionals we’ve got good relations with to do electrics, carpentry and painting and suppliers we can pass orders down the line to.

“We’ve been working on this new shop together with our friends from @found.hea – our neighbours at Wapping Wharf and our collaborators on this new space. Together we’re bringing a bit of Bristol Indie Town to the big boys’ playground. Can’t wait to see how it goes.”
