Wapping Wharf sparkles as Christmas nears

By Bristol24/7  Wednesday Dec 8, 2021

Looking for that perfect Christmas gift, or planning a festive outing? Wapping Wharf might be just what you’re after with its sparkly lights and array of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and more, there’s something for everyone.

If you’re stuck for Christmas present ideas and in need of inspiration ahead of your visit, check out Wapping Wharf’s Instagram and Twitter feeds to tune into the #WappingWharfAdvent. Expect plenty of unique gift ideas from many of Bristol’s best independent businesses.

The neighbourhood is also feeling especially festive thanks to the CARGO Christmas tree pop-up. Run by Bush Bristol, the pop-up outdoor Christmas tree shop is supporting local charity 1625ip, with a donation made for each tree purchased. You can find it along Rope Walk opposite independent bookshop, bookhaus.

This weekend, the festive fun is set to continue, with an outdoor performance of Christmas carols from the South Bristol Salvation Army band on Saturday 11th December, from 1pm until 3pm along Gaol Ferry Steps.

With plenty of choice for a bite to eat and mulled drinks on menus, you’re sure to leave the neighbourhood feeling that little bit more festive than when you arrived.

Visitors to Wapping Wharf are kindly asked to follow the Wapping Wharf Code to ensure it’s a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.

The Christmas tree pop up is open at Wapping Wharf 12-6pm on weekdays, and 9-5pm at the weekend, and will run until the 12th of December.
