Doctor Who fan? Get aboard the Balmoral
Time travellers of all ages will want to step aboard the Balmoral when it sets sail for Cardiff Bay, home of the Doctor Who Experience, later this month.
The historical ship is running its first voyage to the exhibit where fans of the BBC series will be able to get up close and personal with the Tardis and other famous props from the show – even dressing up as their favourite character for the journey to Wales across the Bristol Channel.
is needed now More than ever
Speaking about the trip Paul Doubler, who volunteers on the historic ship usually moored outside the M Shed, said: “We’ve always done traditional seaside things and taking people to beaches but we need to do something different.
“The Doctor Who Experience is awesome and I don’t know how well-known that is in the West Country.”
Paul also encourages fans and travellers to dress up for the excursion which will also include time to explore the picturesque Cardiff Bay area.
The ship will depart Clevedon Pier at 10.15am on August 25. Passengers will travel to Cardiff via coach from Penarth Pier with the trip expected to arrive back in Clevedon at 6.45pm.
Tickets cost £36 for adults and £24 for children aged five to 16. A special family ticket is also available for £99.
