New garden suites at the Avon Gorge Hotel
If you’ve ever sat on the terrace of the White Lion bar in Clifton Village, you’ll be familiar with the vista. Now take out the dozens of other people and imagine it all to yourself.
The Avon Gorge Hotel’s two garden suites take up the ground floor of a once grand home with a garden that has quite possibly the best view in Bristol.
is needed now More than ever
I was conjuring up visions of Great Gatsby-style parties on the lawn, with ladies and gentlemen in their finest and the champagne flowing.
That was sadly impossible with two young daughters in tow, but we nevertheless had great fun exploring.
The suite we were staying in was the King Suite, so big that it’s almost possible to get lost inside travelling through the games room with its own pool table, passing a chill-out area with beanbags, through the lounge, hallway and bedroom, with the bath up a few steps the size of a generous jacuzzi.
If you’ve got friends and family visiting Bristol who want something a bit different from a usual hotel stay, then these suites could be the answer, if you can ever drag yourself away from that view.
A night’s stay at the King Suite starts at £180. For more information, visit www.theavongorge.com/rooms/suites.
